  1. sorry can i ask something? when i answer all the question correctly, i always get my answer uncorrect by system. so i never get the best score. Can i ask why?

    • Hi Putri,

      For this exercise, you put 2 incorrect answers:

      Q2: John __ football when he was at university. – you put ‘was playing’, but this should have been ‘played’ as you are not talking about particular time in the past (e.g. ‘yesterday, last night, one year ago), but an extended, general period – ‘when he was at university’

      Q5: I __ up at 3.05am this morning. I don’t know why! – you put ‘was waking’, but this should be the past simple (woke) because you are talking about a time you did/finished something
