Managing conversations in English at CEFR Level B1

Managing conversations in English at CEFR Level B1Managing conversations in English at CEFR Level B1 means you need more skills than just ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’! In this section of our free online course, we will look at ways of starting a conversation, ending a conversation, making sure you’ve understood and more. Being able to maintain a conversation takes practice, but the more conversations you have, the better your English will become. By the time you have completed this lesson, you will be able to have a long conversation, know how to change the topic or continue with your conversation after an interruption and more.

If you don’t have much opportunity to practice speaking English, a good technique is to imagine a conversation and write it down. This will also help with your spelling, and you post your imaginary conversations in the comments section below. We can then read it and make any changes if they are needed (you’ll need to create a free membership before you can post any comments).
