The future simple with be going to. To talk about the future in English, there are lots of different tenses you can use. One of the most common forms is (be) going to. Here are some examples:

The future simple with be going to is formed by using the correct form of the verb ‘to be’ + going to + verb.

For the negative form of the future with going to, we just add not. Here are some examples:
- I am not going to have lunch with John tomorrow. (or I’m not going to but NOT

- He is not going to fail his exam because he studied hard. (or He’s not or He isn’t)
For questions, we change the word order and put the correct form of the verb first, then the pronoun. For example:
- Am I going to have lunch with John tomorrow?
- Are they going to see a movie at the cinema tonight?
- Is he going to fail his exam because he didn’t study?
