What you have to do for this question type:
In this lesson, we will look at understanding PTE Part 2 Item type 2- Multiple choice multiple answer questions. You will need to read a text and will be given a question with multiple possible answers. You will need to select more than one response (select ALL the answers that are correct).
Task length and timing:
The text will be up to 300 words long. You will have 2 or 3 texts to read and answer the multiple choice / multiple answer questions.

With this type of question, you are judged on your ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate a short reading text on an academic subject. Be careful – with this type, you are penalised for wrong answers, so don’t just guess! You need to be confident in your choices.
The scoring for this question type:
This question type affects the scoring of reading If all responses are correct, you are given the maximum score points for this question type. If one or more response options are incorrect, partial credit scoring applies. You will score marks for any correct options but you will lose marks for any incorrect options. If you click on all the options because you do not know the answer, you WILL lose marks. 1 point is deducted for any wrong option. Correct options are given 1 point.
