Narration:

Introduction to the General Training reading test. Before beginning the reading course, you will need to know some information about the test. In the General Training reading test, you will have 60 minutes to answer 40 questions on three different reading sections. Here is a brief description of what is in each section. In total, the three sections will contain approximately 2,400 words. You will need to transfer your answers to an answer sheet within the 60 minutes. There are a number of different question types. Your final result is a band from 0 to 9, and can be measured in half bands. For example, you could get a score of 6.5. The number of questions you need to answer correctly to reach a certain band score varies from test to test in General Training. If you use articles (a, an and the) in your answer, they are included in the word count. Spelling a word incorrectly means you will not get the mark. With all question types, never leave a blank space in your answer sheet – if you cannot find the answer, write your best guess in the space. You do not lose marks for writing an incorrect answer.
