Narration:

The IELTS speaking test takes between 11 and 14 minutes. There are 3 parts to the test. In Part 1, the examiner will be asking you about familiar topics. In Part 2, you will be given a topic card and you will be required to speak for up to two minutes. In Part 3, the examiner will ask you extension questions based on the topic from Part 2. Your exam will be recorded. However, it is important that you do not worry about this recording –  it is only used to make sure the examiner is giving a fair and accurate assessment of your speaking ability.
