Answer the questions. Try to speak for the time shown in brackets for each section.


Part 1 (4 to 5 minutes)

“What do you do at weekends?”

“Do you have enough time off?”

“What do you do in the evenings?”

“Do you often go to the cinema?”

“What kind of films do you enjoy?”

“Do you watch a lot of television?”

“What do people do on your country for birthdays?”

“What ages are significant in your culture?”

“What kind of presents do you give to friends?”


Part 2 (1 minute preparation then talk for 2 minutes)

Describe a frightening experience you have had

You should say:

  • What it was
  • When it happened
  • Where you were when it happened

You should also say why you found it frightening.


Part 3 (4 to 5 minutes)

“Do you think that people can learn positive lessons from negative experiences?”

“Are children exposed to too much negative news?”

“Do you think horror films and movies with violent content have a negative impact on society?”

“Do you think the world has become a more dangerous place over the last 10 years?”

“Do you think imprisoning criminals is effective?”
