Pie charts are a little different to line graphs and bar charts. Consider this example. There are only four steps required to understand the information. For this pie chart, we can see that expenditure of income is being compared. There are 8 different sections. A specific time is given – 2004. We are also given other information – we know that the pie chart refers to people from the United States and refers to the 18 to 25 year old age group.
