Earlier in the lesson we looked at the language of describing pie charts and also applied the relevant language to bar charts and line graphs. In Task I, it is very rare that you will only be given a single pie chart. A pie chart will normally need to be described in relation to another graph or chart. This can, on occasion, be another pie chart, but more commonly another type of graph or chart. Some Task I questions may even require you to compare information from three or more graphs or charts. Remember that in the instructions for Task I, you will be asked to make comparisons where relevant. To begin, let’s consider making comparisons or correlations between 2 pie charts. Consider these two charts. The following constructions could be used to make comparisons.
