Narration:

To summarise, there are nine points you need to consider: avoid contractions, avoid phrasal verbs, avoid emphasising with capital letters or being too direct, avoid emphasising with exclamation marks, avoid repeating the same vocabulary, use passive voice sentences if possible, use complex sentences, use good linking words, and finally, use your most academic vocabulary. When you have completed all of the lessons in this course, you will find that your skills in all of these areas will have improved. However, there is a final point which you should always keep in mind. Although you should try to write as academically as you can, It is more important to be coherent than to try writing sentences which cannot be understood. If in doubt keep it simple.
