Video: Limitation paragraphs

Narration:

When giving solutions to a problem or discussing a given situation, you are not required to give a concession or compare points of view. However, you can show that the ideas you have presented may have limitations – that is, they are not perfect solutions, suggestions or reasons. This allows you to write about a point that you may think is a little weak, and then comment on the drawbacks. For example, in the essay you have just read, the writer could have mentioned this point. The limitation with this point could then be identified like this. The only real point to remember when writing about limitations is to use a suitable linking word to show contrast. In this example, the writer has used ‘However’. Although this is a good practice for part of your essay, do not write about the limitations of all of your ideas as this will leave you with a weak argument.
