Although multiple choice questions have the widest variation of all of the IELTS question styles, the skills you apply are similar. First, read the first part of the question carefully. This could be an unfinished statement or a question. Step 2 is to identify the keywords. Step 3 is locating the relevant area of the passage. Once you have found an area that you think is relevant, you should read the statement or the question again, then go back to the text and read the relevant section of the passage in detail. You should then dismiss any incorrect options. Finally, you should confirm the correct answer by matching all parts of the option.
