Video: Steps for labelling diagrams, maps and plans

Here are the steps for answering this type of question. Step 1. Your first aim is to find out what the illustration is about. For example, is it a map of a village? A plan of a house? You should then read the labels already attached to the illustration, as well as reading the list of options which are often given. In step 3, you should consider prepositions that will help you follow the description. For example, to the right of, above, in front of. In Step 4 you should be using the labels you have already been given to follow the information given in the recording. Steps 5 and 6 follow the same pattern as other question types. Now we will practice answering labelling questions as part of a Section 2 listening.
